A note from Elbowsnapper;
I write fiction for adults.
I write fantasy fiction about dark worlds with bright spots and the people that inhabit them.
I write about characters that are intelligent, observant, and that struggle with keeping hold of their morality in situations that are far beyond them. I also write about characters that don’t struggle with the morality of their actions at all.
I write to bring the reader as close to the characters mind as I can manage, and once tethered there, drag them on a psychological adventure filled with terror and titillation both.
I write high-quality, original, long-form content that seeks to entertain and engage you.
I write every single day, and when I’m not writing, I’m thinking about how I can find more time to do exactly that.
I write, I improve, and then I go back, routinely to revise, edit and enhance my older work. I write as I imagine Sisyphus must, had he been cursed with a pen and an overactive imagination, instead of a boulder. I write, and every stolen inch up the hill of incremental improvement necessitates more labor to follow.
I write, and I love writing, so I’ll keep on writing—and if you’re anything like I am, then you should keep on writing too.
To the new readers who have just stumbled upon the little literary corner of the internet I’ve staked out for myself, and to the ones who have been there from the very first page;
Thank you for reading.
If you’ve enjoyed reading about the worlds described in my books, the places dark or bright, then I’ll say with confidence that I’ve succeeded in the task I set out on.
If you’ve found something familiar in my work, a small shade of yourself in the thoughts, emotions and mannerisms of the characters depicted within those worlds, then I’ve well exceeded it.
